REGISTRATION
Students may begin at any time during the year and requires a monthly commitment.A non-refundable registration fee of $20.00 is required for each student (not to exceed $50.00 per family). This fee is used for studio expenses including equipment, maintenance and supplies. It also reserves a student’s place in the studio and on the schedule.A non-refundable music deposit of $25.00 is required for each student. The cost of music, copies, tapes and CDs that each student receives is subtracted from the music deposit. Should the student exceed the music deposit, any additional costs will be added to the student’s monthly tuition.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY
If you wish to discontinue lessons, notice must be given by the
parent, guardian or adult student TO THE FRONT DESK BEFORE the end of the month during which you are enrolled or you are obligated to pay for the next month. NOTIFICATION MUST BE GIVEN TO BFA, NOT TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR.
TUITION
Tuition will be collected on the 1st of each month via bank auto-draft (ACH debit) or Visa/MC auto-charge unless special arrangements are made. Private lesson tuition is computed by the number of weeks in each month X cost; tuition for group classes varies. Each lesson is paid regardless of absence.
If paid by check/cash, tuition is due on the 1st, no later than the 5th. If payment is not received before the 2nd lesson, the student will not receive any more lessons until tuition is paid. If payment is late 2 times, the next month’s tuition must be paid in advance. Private lessons are $25 per ½ hr ($35 per ½ hr for Dr. Brook & Lesley Jennings); each band workshop $20/hr and is based on attendance. All tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another month or a sibling’s lessons. Brook Fine Arts reserves the right to discontinue lessons at any time.
OTHER COSTS
A recital fee of $10 per student is required for participation in the Winter & Spring Awards Recitals.Fees are required for all auditions, festivals and competitions and vary for each event.Returned checks incur a $25 penalty.
SUBSTITUTION
BFA reserves the right to provide a substitute if the instructor is unable to attend a lesson.
MAKEUP LESSONS
If BFA is notified of a lesson that will be missed by a student, the student is placed on the cancellation list. As other slots become available, those waiting for spaces will be contacted. If no slots become available before the student’s NEXT lesson, the lesson is forfeited. If BFA is NOT given prior notice of an absence, we cannot offer that slot to others, therefore, the student will not be offered a slot. We do not offer credits or guarantee a makeup.
Lessons are not made up or credited for a student arriving late or leaving early.
INJURIES/CARE OF STUDENTS
Parents/guardians/adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on BFA property resulting from normal lesson activity or other activity conducted by the students before, during or after lessons or workshops.BFA is not responsible for providing care for students before or after lessons. Students are not to be left at BFA for excessive time before or after lessons.
PHOTO RELEASE
BFA is hereby granted permission to take photographs/videos of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials that BFA creates.
BFA does not follow any private or public school schedule regarding holidays, snow days, fall or spring breaks. BFA seldom closes for weather. If you are uncertain if BFA is open, please call 491-6011 to check the status.
